The big news this month is Blackthorn Communications‘ exclusive interview with rock legend, Marilyn Manson. And while music interviews in specialist magazines tend to be worthy, fawning and downright boring, Blackthorn Communications‘ resident writer, editor and inveterate metal-head, Eleanor Goodman, bombarded Manson with questions supplied by Bizarre readers via its Facebook page and Twitter feed, which got the shock rocker chatting about his friend Johnny Depp, tattoos, Lewis Carroll… and penguins!

Elsewhere this issue we’ve got an in-depth feature on the burgeoning horror movie scene in South America, spooky photographs from the Palermo crypts in Sicily, and a ringside report from the Lucha Libre wrestling in La Paz, Bolivia. Blackthorn Communications sent a writer to Bolivia to cover the event, and commissioned a photographer to spend a week with the wrestlers and their trainers, and we’re immensely proud that the feature turned out to be a Bizarre classic.

We also had an opportunity this month to purchase some incredible photographs from our agency partners, including hilarious images of chimps in a Chinese zoo watching cartoons, pictures of the revolutionary new ‘tooth tattoo’ that can be used to diagnose disease, and happy snaps of the Chinese family who’ve made their home in a mens’ hotel toilet as they couldn’t afford the extortionate rent in their home town. It’s a weird, weird world, and Blackthorn Communications is always first with the strangest stories from around the globe.
